John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Our heavenly Father loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son so that we could live. God made a way for us to be with Him. Jesus paid the price of His life. He purchased our life with His life.
2 Corinthians 11:2 says, For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy; for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chase virgin to Christ.
Our heavenly Father watches over us with godly jealousy. He is keeping an eye on us as the one betrothed to His Son. He is watching over us intently. The Holy Spirit is leading us into a life of purity so that we are everything Jesus is waiting for. He is waiting for us, a spotless bride. Waiting for a faithful bride. Waiting for a devoted bride.
Song of Solomon 4:9 says that we have ravished His heart. It says it twice. We have ravished His heart. His heart yearns to be with His bride. He is eagerly waiting to hear His Father say, “Ok Son, go get your bride!
Think about all that He went through to be with us. He was spit upon, ridiculed, had a crown of thorns cut into his head. He was nailed to a cross. All so that we could be with Him.
Song of Solomon 2:8-10 says, The voice of my beloved! Behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. (9) My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice. (10) My beloved spake, and said unto me, rise up, my love my fair one, and come away.
Here Jesus is pictured as leaping in excitement to come get His bride. He is skipping with joy because the wait is finally over. He has waiting so long to bring His bride home. He makes himself known to his bride and I can hear the excitement in his voice as he says rise up my love and come away!
He has waited so long! His bride has kept herself pure and she is ready to hear her bridegroom say, Arise my love and come away. Get ready! Stay ready! Jesus will soon come for His bride!
